Lehigh Acres fire started by kids playing with fireworks

Florida Forest Service responded to a brush fire that was started by kids playing with fireworks in Lehigh Acres Monday.

Crews responded to the fire on the 2500 block of 64th St W.

The forestry confirmed half an acre burned, and it is now 100 percent contained.

Lee County Sheriff’s Office has not determined if the kids could face charges for starting the fire.
