A power outage that was affecting around 15,000 people in various Southwest Florida areas Monday morning has been fixed.

Karen Ryan, LCEC public information officer, said around 15,000 people in Lehigh Acres, Immokalee, Everglades City, Ave Maria and a small area in Golden Gate Estates were without power Monday morning. But power has been restored.

LCEC crews are heading to the various areas to investigate what has caused the outage. At this time, Ryan said the cause is unknown.
